We're just back from Uganda and our trip was wildly successful! Not only did we check in on communities where we have recently drilled wells, we are also able to accomplish so much:

• We met with the Soroti Central Rotary Club leadership to discuss our current Global Grant project to drill 25 wells this year! The Madison Rotary Club is taking the lead on this incredible “Uganda Water & Opus for Peace” project. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting work!

• Flint Global leaders, Travis Trull and Laura Hickman, joined us in Uganda as we paved the way for partnership! We identified 3 pilot communities for Flint Global to consider helping with stellar development projects. They liked what they saw, and we can’t wait to begin this journey together. Make sure to check out Flint Global and the amazing work they are doing around the world.

• We visited International Lifeline Fund’s office and factory. We met with their exciting team to hear about how ILF helps give people a better life by helping them meet their clean water and energy needs. ILF is the main distributor of Charity: Water’s well sensors that Call to Care Uganda is a beneficiary of. So great to meet with this dedicated team and put faces with names.

• It's not every day do you get to meet a king! We met the King of Kumam! We were humbled to be invited to an audience with the king of the Teso Kingdom where many of our wells have been drilled. We shared the good work we are doing and were deeply appreciated for it. We also were interviewed by their Minister of Technology. Oh, what can happen in a day in Uganda!

• Bonus: Artisanal fair-trade market shopping news! We procured many great items for your shopping pleasure that will be offered at upcoming events later in the year. We will keep you posted on sale venues as they are announced.
