World Water Day, held on 22 March every year since 1993, is an annual United Nations observance focusing on the importance of fresh water and ways to tackle the global water crisis. This is something you are already involved with! As a Fountain Member, you are actively engaged in ending the global water crisis in Uganda! We thank you!

Every year, the UN sets the theme for World Water Day. In 2024, the focus was on Leveraging Water for Peace; in 2025, on Glacier Preservation. In 2026, the theme will be Water and Gender.

Here’s a link to Call to Care Uganda’s video that speaks directly to this, and how water directly empowers women in Uganda:

Also, if you are in CT and are free on Saturday, March 28, please join us at Scottish Dave’s in Clinton at 3pm as we come together to celebrate World Water Day at our 2nd annual “Whiskey & Water” event with music, food, raffles and fun!
